Online retailer giant Amazon has introduced some updates that allow Kindle e-reader owners to access multiple accounts on a single Kindle electronic device. Amazon's update includes a "home library" feature that allows two adults and four children to share content in a Kindle e-reader. Adults can decide whether they want to share the entire content with other users who are connected to the same device, or they only share one part. Each adult can also make separate comments and bookmarks in the same e-book.
The software and updates also include a dictionary tool that can automatically define difficult words anywhere to help children and English learners read better. Kindle users will also have access to Kindle’s unlimited leisure time, which is a subscription service for children that costs $2.99 a month to subscribe. This includes improved search functionality and tighter integration with Goodreads, an online book club website. The new update is available for the $79 Kindle, Kindle Voyage, and the latest Kindle Paperwhite. Users can wait for their Kindle e-book reader to automatically update or download new software in the coming weeks.
