"Replacing the steel body of the bus with an aluminum body has reduced the bus's vehicle weight by 1.2 tons, which is very encouraging," said Jinya Chen, president of Alcoa Asia Pacific. “However, this design is not just about reducing the weight of the car – the new design is more prominent in terms of durability, corrosion resistance and recyclability, and it is expected to increase the single-charge mileage of the bus by at least 10%.â€
