In the opening speech, Wang Xianzheng, president of the China Coal Industry Association, mentioned that as the “Twelfth Five-Year Plan†outline is proposed, we will further promote the scientific and orderly, economical and environmental protection, green and low-carbon development model, and place coal production sites. It is also an inevitable choice to deal with the relationship between supply and demand of international energy and reduce the cost of enterprises by maximizing the intensification of transit sites and consumption sites and establishing a stable futures and spot coexistence trading model.
After the opening ceremony, related keynote speeches were made. Liu Xingqiang, general manager of the Dalian Commodity Exchange, proposed that with the continuous increase of China’s imported coal, especially the coking coal market, due to the unstable market price and large fluctuations, the coking enterprises were greatly affected. In order to enable companies to effectively avoid risks, they hope to launch coke products in futures this year. The next possibility may be coking coal, and they will continue to develop varieties of coal futures.
