According to sources, the Japanese Fair Trade Commission on suspicion of five Japanese auto parts suppliers in violation of antitrust law, the companies involved will be ordered to terminate its price cartel behavior.
The antitrust regulator has issued notifications to Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, Cornell Corporation, Mitsubishi Corporation, T.Rad Corporation and Hitachi Automotive Systems.
The Fair Trade Commission also plans to impose fines on four of the companies, ranging from a few hundred million yen to one billion yen.
This price cartel involves four types of automotive components, namely radiators, generators, wipers and starters.
