High precision constant temperature and humidity laboratory acceptance will be held

On January 11, 2011, the International Science and Technology Cooperation Project of the Ministry of Science and Technology, jointly sponsored by the Institute for Multidisciplinary Research and the Accelerator Center of the High Energy Institute, held a high-accuracy undulator magnetic field measurement system and a constant temperature and humidity laboratory acceptance meeting at the High Energy Institute. Experts from the Institute of Modern Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory of the University of Science and Technology of China, the European X-ray Free Electron Laser Research Center (EXFEL GmbH) and the Institute of High Energy Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences formed an acceptance panel.

The acceptance panel heard the research report of the international cooperation project team of the EXFEL undulator system of the High Energy Institute and the test report of the expert test group. After careful discussion and deliberation, it was agreed that the test results of the mechanical parameters of the undulating magnetic field measuring system completed by the project team were all better than the design requirements. The temperature and humidity of the constant temperature and humidity laboratory reached the design index, and the magnetic field measurement accuracy and repeatability were both Meet the physical requirements, but also meet the EXFEL high-precision 5-meter undulator magnetic field performance testing requirements, the entire facility has reached the international advanced level of undulating measuring technology.

The research and development of the high-precision undulator magnetic field measurement system and the corresponding constant-temperature and constant-humidity laboratory have received financial support from the Ministry of Science and Technology for international cooperation projects. The research project team developed the facility on the basis of international cooperation and exchanges, and mastered the key technologies for measurement of ultra-high-precision undulators. The measurement system adopts the advanced technology of linear motor plus air flotation. It is the undulator point measurement system with the longest domestic stroke and the most adjustment dimension. It has been used in the magnetic field test of the European X-ray free electron laser (EXFEL) U48 undulator prototype. It played an important role. This high-precision test system will play a key role in the construction of China's future advanced light sources and the construction of our own X-ray free electron laser device.
