On August 11, the reporter learned from the Liaoning Inspection and Quarantine Bureau: Recently, the Liaoning Inspection and Quarantine Bureau launched the inspection of the consistency of imported cars. This is the eighth consecutive year that the Bureau has carried out this work. It is expected to be completed by the end of November.
Dalian Port is one of the traditional four designated import ports of China and the only import port for automobiles in Northeast China. In 2004, the first batch of vehicles approved by the State Council were allowed to import complete vehicles. Imported cars occupy an important position in the import trade of Dalian Port. In the first half of 2017, 8,779 imported cars, worth US$450 million. Automotive products are listed in the CCC certification catalog and must be certified before they can be shipped, sold, imported or used in other business activities. CCC certification plays an important role in protecting consumers' personal health and safety, protecting the environment, preventing fraud, and ensuring the quality and safety of products.
In order to improve the effectiveness of the National Compulsory Certification for Automotive Products (hereinafter referred to as CCC Certification), in accordance with the unified deployment of the National Certification and Accreditation Administration, the Liaoning Inspection and Quarantine Bureau continued to carry out the consistency verification of some parameters of imported automobiles in 2010-2016. A total of 204 imported cars were inspected, 81 unqualified vehicles were investigated, and 5 CCC certificates were suspended. The importers were forced to establish a self-checking self-control mechanism. The qualified rate of import vehicle conformity verification increased from 28% in 2010 to 84.6% in 2016. Witnesses’ awareness of compliance and compliance has improved significantly and their effectiveness has been remarkable.
