Cummins Sales Surpass $18 Billion in 2011

Cummins Corp. recently announced financial reports for the fourth quarter of 2011 and for the full year of 2011.

In the fourth quarter of 2011, Cummins’ sales was US$4.9 billion, a year-on-year increase of 19%, and the increase in sales was mainly driven by the increase in demand in the North American market.

In the fourth quarter of 2011, Cummins’ net profit was $548 million, with diluted earnings per share of $2.86; EBIT was $768 million.

For the full year of 2011, Cummins’ sales was US$18 billion, a year-on-year increase of 36%; net profit was US$1.85 billion, diluted earnings per share was US$9.55, and Cummins’ net profit was US$1.04 billion in 2010, diluted per share. The profit is 5.28 US dollars.
